Her past roles include STEM Teaching and Learning Consultant, Academic Support Program Manager, and Assistant Provost of Educational Support, Retention, and Student Success, and Executive Director of a Higher Education Non-profit. As a leader, she strives for organizational excellence and a positive, safe, non-toxic workplace culture.
As an entrepreneur, she is the founder of Holistic Higher Education Solutions, a higher education consulting agency, and the founder of the Refinery Youth Project, a non-profit organization that brings experiential programming to rural communities.
An independent author, Dr. Wheeler helps first-generation students develop the right mindset conducive to college success through her books, Geaux Wiser: Secrets to College Success (2019) and Live Wiser: The Ultimate Guide to Adulting Post-Grad (2021).
